MBL Planning is a composite design studio that includes architects with active licenses in 25 states, award winning urban designers, and certified planners with both public and private sector experience. Our unique perspective on development is an alloy of our work, which occurs at three different scales:
City - We create award-winning municipal planning projects that are changing the way cities think about entitlement, permitting, and housing policy. Together with our partners at Pattern Zones Co, we solve tough problems around issues like affordability and neighborhood infill by placing design at the center of the conversation.
Site - We work for developers, architects, municipalities, and non-profits to produce urban design concepts that unite diverse constituencies around compelling visions for future development. Our collaborative process threads conceptual plans through permitting and construction, maintaining the vision throughout.
Building - Good buildings deliver value to their owner, great buildings also deliver it to their community. Our work prioritizes place over object, people over cars, and character over style. The greatest aspiration we have is to make buildings that last simply because people love having them around.
